چکیده

In this study, we derive new expressions for the probability of outage where a mobile unit receives a Nakagami desired signal and multiple, cochannel, independent Nakagami interferers. Unlike some previous results, the expressions are usable when the Nakagami fading parameter, m , is not necessarily an integer. An exact formula is also derived for the outage probability when the desired signal power must exceed a minimum threshold for satisfactory reception. Typically, in mobile radio, the received signal also experience log-normal shadowing. The outage probability is derived when the received signals suffer both Nakagami-fading and shadowing simultaneously.

Outage probability analysis for a nakagami signal in L nakagami interferers

Outage analysis is one of the primary objectives in the design and operation of the 3"' Generation (3G) micro-and pico-cellular mobile radio systems in order to increase spectrum efficiency and to control the Quality of Service (QoS) and Grade of Service (GoS) demands. This paper presents an alternative direct formulation of the outage probability for Nakagami fading channels in the presence of...

Outage Probability of Cellular Mobile Radio in the Presence of Multiple Nakagami Interferers with Similar Fading Parameters : A Correction

Previous available results for the probability of outage with multiple Nakagami interferers with non-integer fading parameters have been derived using the characteristic function approach. This was done by converting an improper real integral, whose integrand has a singularity at the origin, to a contour integral, which was then evaluated using the method of residues. However, the method is mat...

Performance of generalized selection combining for mobile radio communications with mixed cochannel interferers

The performance of generalized selection combining (GSC) space diversity for mobile radio systems in the presence of multiple cochannel interferers is studied. Two cochannel interference models are considered: 1) cochannel interferers consisting of Nakagamiinterferers and Rayleigh interferers and 2) cochannel interferers in which each interferer follows Nakagamidistribution for a fraction of ti...

Simple and accurate methods for outage analysis in cellular mobile radio systems-a unified approach

Two unified expressions for computing the refined outage criterion (which considers the receiver noise) in cellular mobile radio systems are derived using the Laplace and Fourier inversion formulas. Since these expressions do not impose any restrictions on the signal statistics while being easy to program, they provide a powerful tool for outage analysis over generalized fading channels. We als...

Performance analysis of SIR-based dual selection diversity over correlated Nakagami-m fading channels

Signal-to-interference-ratio (SIR)-based selection diversity is an efficient technique to mitigate fading and cochannel interference in wireless communications systems. In this paper, an approach to the performance analysis of dual SIR-based selection diversity over correlated Nakagamifading channels with arbitrary parameters is presented. Useful formulae for the outage probability, the average...
